Earlier cars, perhaps... but I never saw the point of lowering Foresters while Imprezas and WRXs came as low-height 5-door small wagons.
Foresters should ride higher. :D

Indeed, it's a shame.
Of course, making a replica likely isn't that hard.
The JDM Forester STI shares an identical bodykit to the US market XT Sports model.
The interior is largely identical to the standard Forester, with the main differences being the seats and steering wheel.
Aside from that, WRX STi wheels and powertrain/drivetrain swap w/ECU upgrade are mostly all that's needed to make a Forester STi replica.
